Preparation is 90% of a Quality Paint Job
We'll do it right THE FIRST TIME!
WHY IS PRIMING YOUR WALLS IMPORTANT?
For a number of reasons: Primer will ensure a good adhesion of the paint to the surface. If you decide on a color of paint that is lighter than what is currently on your walls, then primer will be used to help the finish coat better cover up the darker paint. Adding a tint into the primer will help this also. Our paint technicians will know which primer will be best for your area of work. Primer also helps cover up writing on the walls, usually caused by the shorter, younger people in the house. These drawings- usually ranging from family members to dinosaurs often come in a variety of applications; crayon normally being the preferred method. We can erase that with a good coat of primer and a superior paint job… just as my father did when I decided that Santa Claus needed to be on the wall in my bedroom years ago.
PRIMING AN ENTIRE WALL IS NOT ALWAYS NECESSARY...
but patched areas are required to be primed. If not, once the final coat is dried, you’ll notice a dull area where the patchwork was done because the area wasn’t properly sealed. Any area affected by water or smoke damage must also be primed for a quality, finished product.
Once the area is properly prepped, primed and ready for paint, we’ll start ‘cutting in’. Our experienced painters will guide their brush along the edges, corners and trim providing an outline of the area to be painted. We’re good too.
Our painters strive for perfection, and the only time you’ll need to call us back is for another painting project, NOT to refinish, or repair a previous job. Please, do not call an inexperienced, ‘discount’ painter. Our prices at Paint Round Rock are low and competitive to any others in town. Save yourself the headache of calling a shady company back to see if they can fit you in to their schedule for a re-work that should have been completed the first time.
FOR EXTERIOR PROJECTS, WE WILL SCRAPE, WASH AND REMOVE ALL OLD AND WORN OUT PAINT...
Typical trouble spots are windowsills. Rain, dirt and debris like to collect, and sit in the corners providing a situation that, over time becomes unsightly. We can fix that. We’ll start by scraping off all the old paint and removing any imperfections that are present. After sanding the area down, we will fill any gaps with new caulking.
Believe it or not, cracks in your windowsill aren’t uncommon! They are caused by the window settling into the house, which also over time, also settles. Our team of accomplished painters will properly fill in those gaps, and make it look as good as new; adding instant curb appeal to your home!
